Prevailing in Faith is to continue walking by Faith no matter the circumstance and what is going on around you. You continue to walk by Faith and not by sight because what is around you will discourage you and keep you stagnant. When you operate based on what is around you, you will not be able to continue going on and prospering because what is around you will discourage you greatly. It is always important to know what God says about you he said “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.-1 John 4:4″. This is how you counteract the lies of the devil is by standing on the word of God, believing it, decreeing and declaring it boldly. Knowing that you are victorious in and through Christ Jesus who strengthens you for the battle. In our own strength we are so weak and prone to give up and give in but it is the greater one living on the inside of us who strengthens us and keeps us in the battle. “Blessed be the Lord my strength which teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: -Psalm 144:1″.
The Bible lets us know that without Faith it is impossible to please God, To walk in Faith is to know the mind of God and his thoughts. Due to us operating in Faith and not in our own understanding (which is to do our own thing and will). Instead we choose to be bold as a lion and walk in Faith facing persecutions, tests, trials. Knowing that there is an expected end when everything is all said and done. God will not lead you into anything without using his word to confirm what he is asking you to do by Faith. This is why he wants us to meditate on his word day and night, to seek first his Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto us. Without his word we can be led astray, we can be deceived, we can be manipulated by the devil and seducing, familiar spirits. Even doubt can derail us from the path of Faith and doubt comes from a weak relationship with Jesus. When you have a true relationship with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit you will not doubt. But you will know that you know that you know that the Lord has surely spoken and this is what you are to do, where you are to go, what you are to say.
Doubt is unbelief or an insecurity, you are unsure, When you have a true relationship with God you will not worry or doubt because you will be secure in him. A relationship with God is imperative as a born again Saint, not just Sunday Christianity but every single day. Not just when you feel like it because if you operate on how you feel or your emotions the devil will removing every little feeling you have to have a relationship with God or to pray and read your Bible. Next thing you know you are as cold as the coldest winter day when it comes to God. God calls you to operate in Faith, which is outside of your feelings and emotions it is on command as he leads you through his Holy Spirit. God has given us feelings and emotions for their specific purposes but he did not call us to act out on them. If we were to act out on every emotion and feeling it would not be good for us and our walk in Christ or others around us. It is wise to always check the source of your feelings and emotions and to acknowledge them but not to operate through them. I believe they can lead us into destruction because it is in opposition with Gods ways and will for our life. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. -Isaiah 55:8-9.
Our emotions and feelings influence our thoughts and ways of being and operating. So if you have a unhealed soul and unresolved trauma the way you operate can be very toxic and negative. It can be completely against Gods will this is why Jesus Christ has died to free us and deliver us from these ways that are not Gods ways. Being healed, set free and delivered from soul wounds is very important in this journey so that we do not harm or hurt anyone through offenses. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.-Romans 12:2. The only way that your mind can be renewed is through the word of God, also allowing the Holy Spirit of God to regulate your mind. As you read the word of God and gain the wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God your mind begins to shifts and deliverance takes place. You unlearn the lies of the enemy that you have been programed to walk in and believe ignorantly your whole life before your conversion into Christ. The devil comes to rob, Kill and destroy but Jesus came so that we may have life and life more abundantly and triumph through the finished work on the cross. As we walk in Faith we become stronger, wiser, bolder, in the things of God but when we cower back in Fear we become weaker, shallow, timid, polluted. Thanks be unto God who is the author and finisher of our Faith Glory be unto him. I am grateful that Jesus Christ defeated death and hell and took the keys of death and hell.
