“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.”
Acts 16:25-26 KJV

Our praise and prayers are a powerful weapon in the realm of the spirit as a child of God. We are never to forsake this armory that the Lord has Blessed us with to overcome, conquer and overtake. As we see when Paul and Silas were put jn jail after putting the witch with the familiar spirit out of commission. At midnight they prayed and sung praises unto God. This caused an earthquake which caused the prison doors to open and all the prisoners bands to be loosed.
Beloved there is so much power in your prayers and praise this is why the devil fights you to keep you silent. You must push Through all resistance and pray and praise the Lord anyways. Your breakthrough awaits you, your next level awaits you, a deeper relationship with God awaits you, that open door awaits you. You must stir it up and allow Holy Spirit to operate through you. This is when Faith is to be exercised because your flesh may feel like doing something else, when the spirit is leading you to pray, praise and worship.
I challenge you to stir it up and allow the Holy Spirit to flow through you daily. This is how you succeed in the Christian Faith, this is how you persevere. Not by thinking that God is to do everything you have a part to play. This is to keep your end of the relationship flowing. We see Paul and Silas stirred up their Faith, they did not allow their circumstances to effect their relationship with God. Rather their circumstances pushed them closer to God they relied and depend and trusted in God to deliver them.
In the midst of them stirring up their Faith the guard gave their life to the Lord. When God moves on our behalf we are not the only ones who are Blessed in the process. Others are impacted as well and are able to receive a breakthrough as well. The same applies when we are disobedient and do not stir up our Faith others are affected also in a bad way. So in the good and bad we are to pray to God and praise him as we see in the word concerning Paul and Silas.
