Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. -Matthew 16:24-25
As we follow the Lord Jesus Christ he calls us to deny ourselves, our wants, desires, and will that is contrary to his. We are to take up our cross which is his will and follow him at all cost because in our own will we are going against the will of God. The Lord empowers us through his Holy Spirit for us to continusouly deny ourselves, pick up our cross and follow him. It is not done in our own doing but by being filled and remaining filled with the Holy Spirit as you are in his presence, in the word and prayer. He will also empower you to live life and life more abundantly and Bless you in the land of the living as you obey his voice as he leads you through his Holy Spirit. As long as you do not deny yourself you are in disobedience outside of the will of God living in sin. As we know sin seperates us far away from God, “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” -Isaiah 59:2. Thank God for repentance, and that we are able to come to his throne of Grace BOLDLY to obtain Mercy and forgiveness. Take time out in his presence to repent and to recieve his mercy and forgiveness
He then goes on to tell us that if we try to save our own life’s in this world we shall surely loose it and if we lose our life for his sake we shall surely find it. The Lord is letting us not to try to save our own life’s, only he can truly save our life. We cannot save our own life’s we will surely perish and fall into more gross sin that will keep us away from our Heavenly Father drawing us closer and closer unto damnation. If we lose our life to Christ we will surely find it in him because it is in Jesus Christ that we have life and life more abundantly. Without Jesus Christ we are living a life of death, spiritual death which is leading to damnation and you are not in fellowship with your Heavenly Father. Beloved the Lord is calling you to deny your flesh pick up your cross and follow him. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. -2 Corinthians 6:17. Until you obey 2 Corinthians 6:17 and repent he will not be able to recieve you because you are choosing the world and to save your sinful, secular, carnal life which is leading you into death and destruction.
The devil will surely decieve you to keep you going down the pathway of destruction and the broadway which leads to death. Why does he do this? because he does not want you to come out and be reconciled to your Heavenly Father who art in Heaven Hollowed be his Holy name. He doesnt want you to come out from amongst them and testify overcoming him, he knows who you are before you know who you are and he knows that you will be a threat and a terror to his kingdom. So he sets us smoke screens, traps, temptations, lies, deciet, rabbit holes for you to go around in circles and make you believe you are really doing something when you aren’t. He is just setting you up for a greater fall, spiritually, emotionaly, physically, financially, ETC. If you will just obey the Lord God almighty and deny yourself pick up your cross and follow Jesus he will turn things around in your favor. He will give you the strength and endurance to remain and to prevail and to continue in the Kingdom of God. Seek to be filled with the Holy Spirit Haleluyah if you ask the Lord God Almighty will surely grant it unto you in the name of Jesus. “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” -John 16: 23-24. Beloved in your own strength, intellect, abilities it is impossible, but with the Holy Spirit, strength of God, wisdom, knowledge and understanding of God it is all possible. These are the things you should seek the things which are above so that you can succed, prosper, and be all that God has called, is calling you to be. Shalom Beloved stay in Faith and follow the Lord Jesus at all cost in Jesus name you will never regret it but you will Praise God all throughout the journey as he is magnified through your life.
