Many pray for patience not knowing what they are truly asking for. Have you ever examined what happened after you asked God for patience about a situation or individual?. When you ask for patience, you will go through a test. This test will challenge your faith. Ultimately, it will produce your patience. Why you ask because you are enduring something in which you on your own can’t go through it. Jesus becomes strong in your weakness. You end up overcoming and passing the test through the strength of the Lord. Now you are strengthened. You have more Grace on your life to endure certain situations, people and circumstances that you couldn’t have before. You now have acquired another level of patience to endure. In James, it says to let patience have its perfect work. This is so you be perfect and whole, lacking nothing. Patience is worked up and worked out through a test. It doesn’t just come out of nowhere. It comes through your faith in enduring and trusting in God in the midst of a trial.
So Beloved of the most high God, When test and trials come, do not run away. Do not isolate. Do not go and hide or dismiss things. Allow God to increase as you decrease allow God to be made strong in your weaknesses. The Bible reminds us that his Grace is enough for thee. So when you run, Isolate, Hide and don’t confront things this is fear making you retreat and surrender. You are allowing the Kingdom of darkness to rule and reign in your life. The Bible admonishes us not to give the devil a foothold into our life. It is all of our duty to work out our salvation with trembling and fear. If you battle with fear, anxiety, worry, or double-mindedness, it is time to deal with it. Guess what? Its time to deal with it. Examine yourself. Think and get to the root cause of this. Get delivered from the spirit and strongholds of fear, anxiety, worry, double mindedness. James 1:8 lets us know that A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. It is normal for the amygdala to respond in fight or flight for a real threat. This happens during a real threat that is occurring or danger. When it goes off due to lies of the devil in your mind, it is time to get delivered. Face and deal with unresolved trauma. If it happens because of repressed trauma, it is time to get set free from the bondage. It is time to get free from the yoke of satan.
As we go down a few verses of James 1, it says in verse 5. Verse 6 states, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God. God gives to all men liberally and does not upbraid. It shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that waverers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. You can come to our Heavenly Father for any wisdom you need, if you are born again in Jesus name. If you need wisdom on how to overcome these battles you are facing, you can ask Him. How to overcome fear, worry, doubt, ETC or even how to trust him for your healing for past trauma. Whatever you need he has it and is ready to give it to you. Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened unto you . For everyone that asketh recieveth, and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. -Matthew 7:7-8. But here is a crucial key. You must trust and believe. Do not give any place to doubt. In James 1:7, it lets us know. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. As mentioned earlier, a double-minded man is unstable in all of his ways. A double-minded person wavers like the waves of the sea.
I would like to challenge you. When you are in a test and trial, face whatever situation, person, or circumstance. To let the Lord know, thank you Jesus for patience. Thank you that my Faith is being tested. Thank you for your strength. Thank you that you are with me through this. This too shall pass. I want to challenge you. Praise him in the midst of the times. It “looks” as if you need patience. As you glorify Jesus, realize what he is doing. He is maturing you, delivering you, teaching you, and building your character. You will have Peace, Love and Joy in the Holy Ghost. You will overcome the challenge before you know it. Turn your murmuring into thanksgiving, praise and supplication unto the Lord. There are flaws in our characters. These flaws can only be worked out as we go through certain things in our life. There are even things that we are not aware of. We learn about them as we go through things with the Lord. He is our strength. You will be tested as you already know on this journey in Christ. Greater is he who is within you than he who is in this world. In every test of your Faith you are becoming stronger. You are becoming wiser. You are becoming more sanctified. You are being drawn closer to God. You are being made whole.
