Create in me

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit with in me, Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. -Psalm 51:10-11. In this Psalm King David was crying out in repentance unto the Lord when he fell into adultery with Bath-sheba. Which no one is exempt from falling short of the Glory of God into sin, hence why the Lord tells us to watch ourselves lest we fall. This is not only a powerful Psalm to pray but it is important to always ask God to create in you a clean heart and to renew a right spirit within you. You are basically asking God to purify your heart because you know that in us dwell’s no good thing it is the spirit of God that keeps us. The only good thing that dwell’s in us is the Holy Spirit, If the Holy Spirit was not in us we would be still dead in our sins and trespasses.

This is why it is important to remain filled with the Holy Spirit of God not doing things to grieve the Holy Spirit or cause God to remove his Holy Spirit from you. The Bible lets us know to work out our salvation with fear and trembling not meaning for us to be fearful in a sense of being scared. In a sense of reverence unto him honoring him with our life and bodies. Glorifying him through our daily lives, not only through our words but through our actions and how we operate on a daily basis. The Bible lets us know that there are many that worship him with their mouth but their hearts are far away from him. Meaning they don’t really worship him in spirit and in truth but they only worship him with lip service which is vain. As God renews a right spirit within you he will forgive you for grieving his Holy Spirit and give time to get things right and will outpour his Holy Spirit upon you afresh.

We see that King David says in verse 11 cast me not away from thy presence and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. He says this because it is possible for this to happen and when this happens your life will be in utter darkness and chaos. You will be casted away from the presence of God where there is liberty, peace, love and joy into darkness where there is everything that is contrary to God. This is why it is important to gaurd our hearts against all evil, submitting ourselves unto God resisting the devil and he will flee. Following the leading of the Holy Spirit is crucial so that you do not stagnate and delay yourself which all causes set backs. As you read this I pray that Boldness and courage will rise up in you in the name of Jesus. So that you can follow the leading of the Holy Spirit even when it makes absolutely no sense, and when it feels uncomfortable and uncertain that you will step out in Faith in Jesus name.

When you grieve the Holy Spirit all sorts of emotions and feelings begin to rise up in you to make you feel stressed, depressed and miserable. Then murmuring and complaining begin to happen shortly after that blame shifting begins to happen. Instead of taking accountability for your lack of obedience to God. Once you grieve the Holy Spirit the enemy will justify you then after that begin to condemn you in your mind to beat you down. He pulls out this scheme to distract you from looking where you fell short from so that you wont repent immediately. It is important to have discernment to notice and heed when the Lord is convicting you of sin so that you can repent, seek the Lord’s face asking him to have mercy and forgive you. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. -1 John 1:9-10.

We all fall short sometimes in one way or another, it can be unwilfully or willfully. Any true believer doesn’t willfully sin because the fear of God is usually in them. But unwilfully yes because we still have things that God has to work out in us, heal us, make us whole, deliver us and bring up to the surface through the Holy Spirit. So each and everyday we are being perfected in the Love of God through his chastening. Those that do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and savior sin willfully it is their lifestyle and all they know to do. Until a unbeliever is born again (regenerated) they will live evil and dark lifestyles out of ignorance. They are not to far from receiving the Love of God and salvation or having a encounter with Jesus Christ that will shift their whole life from darkness to light. I say all of this to say this always ask the Lord to create in you a clean heart and renew his steadfast spirit within you to purify your heart and deliver you from anything that is unpleasing to him in the name of Jesus Christ. Let him know that you want to be kept, Just ask him to deliver you from whatever keeps you from going all the way in him in Jesus name. Blessings Shalom
